I'm sure we've all had the experience of leaving something in the house for a long time, only to find out that it has grown mold. I once left some rice in the fridge and it got moldy. In the same way, furniture and interior materials can also get moldy before you know it.

・Some of the places and things that are prone to mold are

・Toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet areas.

・Storage areas such as closets and closets

・The underside of bedding such as mattresses and mattress covers

・The backside of heavy furniture such as chests of drawers, cupboards, refrigerators, etc.

・Tatami mats

 etc.

I've moved a lot, and there have been times when I've found the back of bookshelves that were moved when I moved.

Now, I don't want this kind of mold to occur if at all possible.

There are three conditions under which molds develop. These three conditions are "nutrition," "temperature," and "moisture.

To be more specific

◇Nutrition

Food is the biggest source of nutrition, but organic materials such as fiber, wood, dust, hair, and human stains are also nutritious. Frequent cleaning and care is necessary.

◇Temperature

Most mold fungi prefer a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Most mold fungi prefer temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, with 25 to 28 degrees Celsius being the most active temperature. To avoid this temperature, it is best to open windows or use air conditioning in the summer. However, they can be active from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, so it is difficult to completely exclude them from the temperature range in which people live.

◇Humidity

Mold fungus can hardly be active when the humidity is below 60%. It is important to keep windows open for ventilation and dehumidification.

Clearing any one of these three conditions will help prevent the occurrence of mold.

For these reasons, regular cleaning, ventilation, and air conditioning are necessary to prevent mold.

◇Three structures

First of all, the structure is commonly referred to as the "frame". The building frame is the framework that supports the building in order to withstand the weight of people and objects and disasters such as earthquakes. Separately called a "skeleton," the skeleton mainly includes the foundation, pillars, walls, beams, floors, roofs, etc., with the exception of interior and exterior finishes and equipment. In other words, the parts other than the building frame are called "finishes".

The three most common building structures (frameworks) are wood, concrete and steel.

・Wooden (W-frame)
・Reinforced concrete (RC-frame)
・Steel construction (S-frame)

◇About Wooden (W-frame)

A building in which the main structure is made of wood, as is common practice in general housing. It is also called "timber construction". A wooden frame is made by joining two pieces of wood about 4 meters long together. The individual members are brittle, but the structure is very tenacious when the joints are made. The weight of the building is light and the rigidity of the structure is low, so the building will be soft and easy to shake.

◇About Reinforced concrete (RC) construction

Concrete is used in buildings such as condominiums and buildings, where the main structure is made up of a combination of rebar and concrete materials. Reinforced concrete (RC) is an abbreviation for forced concrete. After the reinforcing steel is assembled, the formwork is constructed and the concrete is poured into the formwork and the framework is integrated. Since the weight of the building is heavy and the rigidity of the structure is high, the building is hard and does not shake easily.

◇About steel-frame construction (S-frame)

A steel-frame (S-frame) building consists of a main structure with steel or steel members. It is classified into two types according to the thickness of the members: heavy steel and light steel. It is mainly used for large open space buildings, such as gymnasiums and factories, because it is lighter in weight and requires a shorter construction period than RC construction. The joints are either welded or bolted together, both of which increase the integrity of the structure. The building is a little lighter in weight and the structure is more rigid and tough, making it a little more prone to swinging.

◾️The Construction Method of Wooden Homes
There are six categories.

◇traditional method of construction
This is a traditional way of making. There are two main types of construction: the shrine/temple/buddhist temple type and the residential type. In the former type, no hardware is used to join wood to wood, and it is composed of thick pillars, beams, perforations, and thick earthen walls and sheetrock. The latter is characterized by thinner columns, beams and other members than the former for the sake of livability and economy.

◇Conventional Shaft-Making Structure
This construction method, in which the walls and floors are attached after the pillars and beams have been assembled, is most commonly used in houses. The cross-sectional dimensions of the members are even smaller than those of the traditional construction method for houses. Wood-to-wood joints are simplified and metal fittings are used. This construction method is also diversified with the rationalization method of using panels for walls and floors.

◇Frame wall construction method
Unlike the conventional axial construction method, this method does not have columns. Instead, the frame is composed of panels made of structural plywood or other materials nailed to the frame material.

◇Panel construction method
A construction method that uses pre-paneled structural members for ease of construction. There is a wide variety of construction methods, ranging from the conventional axial construction method, in which panelized floors and walls are attached to a pillar and beam base, to the construction method in which all members are panels without pillars and beams.

◇Laminated wood construction method
This construction method is often used to construct a large space. The beam-to-beam structure consists of columns and beams with large cross-sectional beams and a night-frame structure, and a load-bearing wall to resist horizontal forces in the direction of the girders is common.

◇Log construction method
Logs are connected with wooden or steel dowels and stacked like well girders to form a wall. It can resist both vertical and horizontal loads. It is also called a log house or a schoolhouse.

Autocad LT

Expert CAD

CAD software" allows you to design and draw on your computer. There are a lot of CAD software available on the market, from free to expensive software, but there are so many of them that it's difficult to know what to use and when to use them. I've been designing machines and buildings for a long time, and I've used CAD for a long time, but to be honest, I don't know what to do with it. To be honest, I don't understand many of them. So, I will write about the CAD systems that I have used for mechanical design and architectural design.

◇The first one: Autocad LT

feature

・Specializing in 2D drafting and document creation
・The world's standard CAD system for many users
・Highly compatible with other CAD systems
・There's a concept of model space, paper space.

It's one of the most used 2D software for architectural design, and it's a paid software from AutoDesk, which is a company that provides software for a variety of architectural, mechanical, and design applications. They offer a lot of features in addition to the basic ones, so if you want to do something like this, there's something you can do. At first, you'll learn the basics, and after that, you'll be able to do it smoothly as you look up unfamiliar functions. Also, the software is upgraded every year, and a lot of features are added as it goes up.This is just like a major software company. Also, if you don't use it, you won't understand what it is, but the concept of paper space and model space is hard to grasp at first, and I imagine there are people in their 40s and 50s who have used it for a long time, but don't understand it well. It's okay to use it without understanding it, but if you do understand it, it's a feature that will increase your work efficiency. In general, there are many functions from basic to itchy functions that can be used, and it is software that can be used widely from beginners to experts to improve work efficiency if you can master it.

◇The second: JW-CAD

feature

・2D drawing
・Free
・Widely used in the construction and manufacturing industries
・The use of left and right mouse buttons is different from other CAD systems.
・Often compared to AutoCad.

This software is often used in architectural and mechanical design. It is often compared to AutoCad, but its usage is similar to AutoCad. I usually use AutoCad, so I don't use it very often, but there are times when I have to convert the drawing created with JW-CAD and have it edited with AutoCad, or have my drawing created with AutoCad be edited with JW-CAD.

◇Third: Expert CAD.

feature

・2D drawing
・Widely used in machinery, electricity, construction, etc.
・Easy to operate.

To be honest, it was just like the old CAD, and I felt that using the new CAD would improve performance in many areas, including efficiency. However, since the company has been using EXPERT-CAD for a long time, if the data is not compatible with the new CAD, the old drawings cannot be referred to, which makes the transition to the new CAD difficult. It's easy to use, though. I have been using it for less than two years myself, designing machines with it.

When you think of architectural design, most people think of the exterior and interior design of a building. I had this image too. In fact, however, the scope of work is wide and can be divided into three main types of work. The following is an explanation of these jobs.

◇There are three types of work in architectural design.

Architectural design work can be broadly divided into architectural design, structural design, and facility design. The details of each are as follows.

◇Architectural design

Designing mainly the exterior and interior of buildings. This job is responsible for the overall design and engineering of the building, including interior and exterior views, floor plans, and construction and design, based on the client's requirements. They also coordinate and supervise the structural and facility design sections of the building. We often play a producer-like role in organizing the overall architectural design project and are often referred to as a "flowery" job. In addition to design and engineering skills, this job requires good communication skills.

◇Structural design

Designing the foundations, columns, beams and other parts of a building's framework. In addition to taking into account the geology of the location, the ground, and the layout of the building, we must also calculate and design the building's safety performance against disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, and snowfall. Precise and accurate design is essential to make the building successful as a building without compromising its design, in addition to a reliable and safe structure.

◇Equipment Design

Facility design involves designing the infrastructure of a building. Specifically, this includes water, sewage, gas and other plumbing, air conditioning, lighting, outlets, internet and other electrical facilities. In addition to designing these facilities so that they can be used properly, facilities design also examines and adjusts whether or not running costs are too high and whether or not the indoor environment is comfortable.

I am currently working as a facility designer. My duties include site surveys, design of facility drawings and on-site construction management.
