機械設計、建築設計の実務で使ってきたCADソフト3選

パソコン上で設計・製図ができる「CADソフト」。無料なものから高額な有料ソフトまで数多く出回っています。CADソフトには建築設計・部品設計・モデリングなど用途によって使い分けが必要になってきますが、沢山ありすぎて何をどんな時に使えばよいのか分からないのが実際ではないでしょうか。私はこれまで機械の設計、建築の設計をしてきてCADを使用してきた経験が長いのですが、正直わからないものの方が多いのが正直なところです。ということは使用したことがない人にとってはなおさら分からないはず。ということでここでは、機械設計、建築設計で使用してきたCADについて書いていきます。

◇1つ目：Autocad LT

AutoCADよりもリーズナブル
他のCADと互換性が高い
モデル空間、ペーパー空間という概念がある

建築設計をする際に、最も使用している2Dのソフトです。AutoDesk社が出しているソフトウェアで、有料のソフトウェアです。Autodesk社は建築・機械・デザインなど様々な用途に対してソフトウェアを提供している会社で、その内の1つを使用しています。基本的な機能に加えて、沢山の機能が備わっているので何かこんな操作がしたいというのがあれば、何かしらできる事があります。最初は基本的な事を覚えて、その後、知らない機能を調べながら覚えていくとサクサクできるようになっていくと思います。また、年毎にバージョンアップしていて、上がるごとに機能が沢山追加されています。この辺りは大手のソフトウェア会社といったところです。使ってみないとなんのことから分からないと思いますが、ペーパー空間とモデル空間という概念が最初はとっつきにくく、40代、50代の方で長く使ってるけど、よくわかってない人もいるイメージです。わからずとも使用することは可能なので大丈夫ですが、理解すると作業効率が上がる機能です。総じて言える事は基本的な機能から痒い所に手が届くような機能まで沢山あるので、使いこなせるとどんどん作業効率を上げられる初心者から玄人まで幅広く使用できるソフトです。

◇2つ目：JW-CAD

建築設計・機械設計でよく使用されています。無料のCADソフトなので誰でもダウンロードでき、かつ機能も十分実務の設計で使えたり、図面は書かないけどデータを開いて見たりする為活用されています。AutoCadと比較される事が多く使用方法が似ています。私は普段AutoCadを使用するので、あまり使用しませんが、JW-CADで作成された図面を変換してAutoCadで編集したり、AutoCadで作成した図面をJW-CADで編集してもらうということが偶にあります。

◇3つ目：Expert CAD

機械・電気・建築など幅広く使用さている
操作性が高い

正直に言うと昔のCADといったところで、新しいCADを使った方が効率など多方面でパフォーマンスが上がると感じました。ただ、昔からEXPERT-CADを会社として使用してきているから新しく検討するCADとデータの互換性がないと昔の図面を参照できない、ということになり、なかなか新しいものへの移行は難しくそのままEXPERT-CADを使っているという会社が多いのではないかと思います。とはいえ十分設計するのに使用でき、私自身は２年弱このCADを使用して機械設計を行っていました。

◇The first one: Autocad LT

It's one of the most used 2D software for architectural design, and it's a paid software from AutoDesk, which is a company that provides software for a variety of architectural, mechanical, and design applications. They offer a lot of features in addition to the basic ones, so if you want to do something like this, there's something you can do. At first, you'll learn the basics, and after that, you'll be able to do it smoothly as you look up unfamiliar functions. Also, the software is upgraded every year, and a lot of features are added as it goes up.This is just like a major software company. Also, if you don't use it, you won't understand what it is, but the concept of paper space and model space is hard to grasp at first, and I imagine there are people in their 40s and 50s who have used it for a long time, but don't understand it well. It's okay to use it without understanding it, but if you do understand it, it's a feature that will increase your work efficiency. In general, there are many functions from basic to itchy functions that can be used, and it is software that can be used widely from beginners to experts to improve work efficiency if you can master it.

◇The second: JW-CAD

This software is often used in architectural and mechanical design. It is often compared to AutoCad, but its usage is similar to AutoCad. I usually use AutoCad, so I don't use it very often, but there are times when I have to convert the drawing created with JW-CAD and have it edited with AutoCad, or have my drawing created with AutoCad be edited with JW-CAD.

◇Third: Expert CAD.

To be honest, it was just like the old CAD, and I felt that using the new CAD would improve performance in many areas, including efficiency. However, since the company has been using EXPERT-CAD for a long time, if the data is not compatible with the new CAD, the old drawings cannot be referred to, which makes the transition to the new CAD difficult. It's easy to use, though. I have been using it for less than two years myself, designing machines with it.
